"Alpha Chi has & will forever hold my heart. I have never felt more welcomed by a group of girls. In high school I only had a couple of girl friends and would always find myself becoming friends with guys. The thought of joining a sorority scared me because I would be around so many girls. I transferred to UNCW Fall '17 and only knew a couple people who went here. I knew recruitment would be a good way to make friends and if I didn't find a sorority I liked I could always not accept a bid, but this didn't turn out to be the case. I fell in love with Alpha Chi the second I walked through the door the first day. I immediately felt at home and so welcomed by everyone. Throughout recruitment I found more reasons to love them, their sisterhood, their philanthropy, and so many other reasons that made me beyond excited to find out I received a bid from them. Bid day was incredible, I remember meeting all the other new members and painting our faces while learning our chant that we would scream before we ran home. For someone who grew up always wanting a sister gaining over 100 that day was surreal. I have gained some of my best friends from this sorority, and can't wait to see more of the experiences and memories I make through the sorority." -Lexi Jones, Junior
"When I walked into Alpha Chi Omega’s room on the first day of recruitment I immediately felt welcomed. Everyone hit me with smiles and love instantly. When I was choosing what sorority I wanted to join, I was looking for one with a feeling of acceptance, inclusion, and loyalty. I was so lucky to have found that in Alpha Chi so quickly. Through my first year in the Kappa Pi chapter I found true best friends. People that I could always go to and it made me question how I had been through life so far without them. The leadership opportunities and experiences have already impacted me. I hope one day I can help lead and carry the chapter even more and I only want to grow in my involvement. It is not just my chapter’s standards but the sororities’ standards that have already transformed me into a stronger woman, person, friend, and of course sister. I truly have changed after joining such a great organization and can not wait to see the greatness it continues to bring in my life." -Elise Mutter, Sophomore
"I chose alpha chi because it was the first place that felt like home to me during recruitment! All of the smiling faces and beautiful girls made me feel welcome and appreciated for who I was a person. Joining this amazing group of women has helped me grow into a responsible adult and made me a better person, friend, and sister. Without alpha chi, college would never have been the same" -Brittany Collins, Senior
"After feeling so welcomed during every round of recruitment, I knew Alpha Chi was going to be my home. Going Alpha Chi has given me a support system that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I know if I ever need a someone to study or get lunch with I can call one of my sisters. Alpha Chi has opened the door to so many opportunities both in and out of school." -Hannah Clymer, Junior
